"THIS IS HOW WE DO IT" -- Sermon series in August & September |  | Join us for the sermon series entitled "This is How We Do It" continuing through September. We’ll be talking about the how and why of the Heritage method because we want you to be informed, inspired and involved. We want to help you do the things God has planned for you in this church and in His world. | Topics to be addressed include --
- Children
- Youth
- Small Groups/Discipleship
- Campuses
- Support Groups/Benevolence/Prayer
- Big C Preparation (behind the scenes, first impressions, service planning, facilities, etc.)
- We'll also examine how prayer plays a part in preparation in each of these areas.

AWANA EACH TUESDAY NIGHT |  | AWANA is back on! It's for kids age 2 (as of the start of the school year) to 6th grade. | Every Tuesday night join us for AWANA Club. Check out the AWANA Game Circle; there's nothing quite like it. Your child will memorize Scripture that they will carry with them for life. AWANA meets from 6:15 to 8 p.m. Children three-years-old through 6th grade are invited to join us at the Rock Island Campus for a night of fun and learning.

DISCIPULUS GROUPS - Begin Sept. 12 |  | Beginning Sept. 12, Youth Ministries on the Bettendorf campus will hold Discipulus Groups. NEXT RIVER BAPTISM SCHEDULED FOR SEPT. 18 |  | We celebrated as nearly 200 people were baptized Sunday, August 15th at the the Rock River. Our next river baptism is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 18, at 3:30 p.m. at the Backwater Gamblers' space of the Rock River. If you are 5th grade or older and are interested in baptism or have questions, contact Naomi at 309.732.0006. A packet of information and further instructions will be sent to you. |

MOMS CONNECTING WITH MOMS - Begins Sept. 16 at RI CAMPUS |  | This group is a great way for moms with young children to meet other moms for fellowship, laughter and prayer. MANAGING OUR FINANCES GOD'S WAY - Begins Sept. 12 |  | This 6-week video/discussion class is designed by Crown Financial Resources to give you practical tools for handling your finances better. | | It starts on Sunday, September 12, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. in the Discipleship Center. ILLUMINATE! |  Teens! A new youth group Bible study is now being held on Sunday mornings at the both the Rock Island and Bettendorf campuses at 10:45 a.m. called ILLUMINATE. Come early each week for juice/milk and donuts. It's happening in room 210 at the top of the large staircase (at the RI campus) and in room 2004 (adult classroom at the Bettendorf campus). NEW BEGINNINGS |  | New Beginnings Class is a 10-week class that teaches the basics of Christianity and is designed for those new to the church or new in their walk of faith. | Rock Island: Sundays 9 a.m. in Room 104

GRIEF SHARE CLASS NOW AT BOTH CAMPUSES |  | Grief Share is a 13-week video seminar & support group for those who are grieving the loss of someone close to them. | Each session includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects and the real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a loss and to share your own. - Bettendorf: Tuesdays in room 2004 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

DIVORCE CARE CLASS NOW AT BOTH CAMPUSES |  | Divorce Care is a 13-week seminar & support group that meets weekly on Tuesdays at the Bettendorf campus and on Thursdays at the Rock Island campus. | It’s a place where you can be around people who understand what you are feeling; a place where you can hear valuable information about ways to heal from the hurt of divorce and look expectantly at what God can do in your life! - Bettendorf: Tuesdays in room 1004/1005 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

CHEMICAL RECOVERY CLASS HELD THURSDAYS |  | Chemical Recovery is a confidential support group that meets every week for those struggling with alcohol or drug addictions. This group uses the 12-step program and their Biblical comparisons. | You can join at any time - registration is not required for this group.

BECOMERS HELD EACH MONDAY AT RI CAMPUS | | | Becomers is a strictly confidential Christ-centered support group designed to promote emotional and spiritual healing for women who have experienced childhood abuse (emotional, physical, verbal and sexual). | | This 12-week class, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., is held on Mondays in room 228 on the Rock Island campus. HERITAGE 101 MEMBERSHIP CLASS |  | Heritage 101 is our three-hour membership class that will include information on: | - Our Strategy (How we plan to fulfill our purposes)
- Our Salvation (What God has done for us)
- Our Statements (Why we exist as a church)
- Our Structure (How we organize to fulfill our purpose)
At the end of the class, participants are given an opportunity to begin the process of membership by completing a membership application.

HEARTSTRINGS FOR WOMEN EACH WEDNESDAY |  | Heartstrings is a weekly bible study for women. It is a wonderful time growing closer to the Lord, and closer to one another. | Join us on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Rock Island Campus in the Student Center. Heartstrings returns TODAY!

MAKING OUR MOTHERING SPECIAL (MOMS) |  | MOMS is open to ALL moms, no matter what age your kids may be. Meetings are held in room 2004 at the Bettendorf campus on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 9:30 a.m. (Sept. through May) with childcare available. | For the low, low price of $20, you get a whole semester’s worth of practical information to help you be a better wife and mom and you’ll probably have some FUN, too! (Suggested donation of $1.50 per child per meeting for childcare.).
